Description:

Selling my large 4550sqft lakefront home on 1.37acre land with private beach house and private beach. It's located on the very desirable vacation spot of Okanagan Lake (the region is a vacation hot spot with temperatures of average 30 degrees celsius during summer), a short 3-4 hour drive (or 45min flight) from Vancouver and only 15 minutes from downtown Kelowna. This is an amazing investment opportunity as it is located in between two expanding upscale developments.

I purchased this home in 2004 and have since renovated almost the entire inside and much of the outside: roof was completely redone last year, completely renovated the kitchen, changed all the flooring (bamboo hardwood flooring throughout most of the house corridors and bedrooms, Brazilian cherry wood flooring in the main level living and dining rooms, tiles in the kitchen and entry, and some carpeting in the lower level living/dining).

Inside, on the main (upper level), there's a contemporary kitchen with large island and separate bistro area with inspiring views of the lake. The kitchen has been renovated in the last few months: the entire counter including island replaced with thick nice black granite, new glass stove top with articulating ventilation, new deep sink flush below counter, new faucet. Stainless steel appliances throughout including two Fisher & Paykel stainless steel dishwashers drawers. There's also a pantry. Next, there's a large dining area with a separate exit to the balcony. Outside at the front of the house, there's a serene courtyard with seperate wrought iron gate for security, which makes for a great place to relax outdoors while staying out of the hot sun. It's one of our favorite spots in the summer. The courtyard connects you to the garage. The front of the house has a nice front yard with private driveway winding down to the garage. Above, at the top of the drive and across the semi-private shared access road, my property continues and there's additional ample parking available there too so you won't have any trouble parking for guests. At the back of the house, towards the lake, there's a beautiful yard with plateaus, and a large weeping willow tree which helps block some of the summer heat and gives you a fantastic feeling of the beautiful nature of the willow tree.

Walk down the pathway, you'll get to the stairs and pathway leading to the private beach and beach house, which includes a gazebo (built last year) on the beach. The beach itself is pebble (not sand) but the water is crystal clear and great to swim in. The beach house itself is a single large room that acts as a sort of bachlor pad, with a kitchen and fridge (no sink) and cabinets. It's a great place to hang out during the summers, BBQ outside, and eat on the covered beach house deck. It's also a great place to spend the night if you want to hear the soothing sounds of the lake water and experience the silence of country living.

On the lower level, there's an entire separate additional legal suite, which functions beautifully as a additional space for guests or family suite. I would typically rent this space out to students from the UBC campus nearby, because the main level of the house is already so big! On the lower level, there are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with showers.
