Hi. I'm 34 years old. I've taught and tutored for 11 years. I've taught and extensively tutored academic subjects for 11 years and I have also tutored guitar for 5 years. I've been playing guitar for 18 years and I am proficient in helping you learn most styles at beginner to intermediate levels.

For Guitar classes, I help my students to:

- understand how to learn guitar effectively in a reasonably short time
- place their fingers properly and effectively
-use multiple fingering techniques
- enjoy progressing with melody, rhythm and structure
- understand music theory in a simple way and apply basic scales to simple song structures
- play guitar solos and strum rhythm guitar chords
- learn to play popular/famous songs
- easily create one's own tunes/songs

My specialty is to work with a student 1on1 and to work through their specific development goals at a reasonable pace.

I'm available to travel (by car) throughout the lower mainland for private lessons. I can offer you a guitar to learn with, as well, provided you pay a certain amount.

My class is very reasonable (cheaper and much more personal than a music shop) at $50 for 1.5 hour.

Feel free to give me your phone number and a time to call you at. Or send me an email to ask any questions!

Unlike music shop teachers, I will give you the continual help to keep you motivated throughout the week, between our lessons, when you will be struggling with practice at home.

I always send preparatory emails and I answer any phone calls or emails throughout the week, to help students overcome any challenges while practicing on their own. You won't find a more committed and helpful guitar tutor!

I recommend a 1.5 hour class for all students. ($50/1.5) Again, I email prep lessons, details of our upcoming lessons and all sorts of detailed music on how to help you along and how to practice more effectively throughout the week. So for our first class, feel free to let me know what styles of music you want to play and which exact songs you're interested in learning.

If you are just studying guitar casually, I recommend one class a week. If you want to be serious at getting good on guitar quickly, I recommend 2 classes a week. I have extensive experience in tutoring (in various academic subjects and with guitar) and I'm happy to help you progress quickly. Having a tutor will definitely help you to develop your skills more effectively!

Email me and I can send my resume if you'd like. I'm happy to answer any questions you have Take care and thanks for reading!

(If you'd like specific info on my academic tutoring:

I've taught guitar students from age 7 to age 75. My students have included Canadian, Korean, Japanese and Chinese people of both genders. I've taught absolute beginner level students and upper intermediate level students.

I've taught many Chinese and Korean students. I've also taught Russian, Mexican and Japanese students. I can speak a couple different languages if you are beginner and need such help (中文 普通话. Give it a try!)
